YOUR VISION, OUR CRAFT

Crafting a custom look offers a wonderful opportunity for complete flexibility and control over the design, fabric, and silhouettes. This process not only enhances creativity but also fosters a deeply personal and gratifying experience.

You will have had a pre- consultation where we will have learned all about you, your vision for the wedding and your outfit, so at your first design consultation we’ll explore sketches, references and ideas as well as fabric options, silhouettes, cuts and trimmings, to build a physical vision board of your dream look.

We proudly offer a diverse fabric library for you to explore, and we often create mock-ups of your ideas using our studio pieces to inspire the design process. Through follow-up consultations, we will refine the design until you're completely satisfied, after which we can confidently proceed with crafting your toile. Measurements will be taken at this stage.

PERFECTING YOUR PIECE

To ensure the best fit for your bespoke work, we begin the process by creating a 'toile.' This mockup, made from cotton fabric and tailored to your measurements, allows us to visualise your outfit before moving to the final stage. We will drape, pin, and draw on the fabric to accurately visualise the final look.

FITTINGS AND FINAL TOUCHES

At your first fitting, you’ll see your garment come to life in the final fabric. This stage focuses on the structure, or ‘shell,’ of the outfit, ensuring the perfect fit before we add finishing touches like embellishments and fastenings.

Typically, 3-5 fittings are required to perfect the garment. Your final fitting will take place 2-3 weeks before your event, when your bespoke piece will be ready to take home.
